Commenting on Elly's post about my post and on Persephone on Elly's cry about the injustice in her work which she is doing for free... I want to say:
I like and agree completely with what Persephone wrote about quitting silly work and working for yourself. I remember meeting Dutch people at parties in my early days in Holland when they asked me "where do you work or what do you do? and how I shocked them by saying "I work chez moi" or "work? I do not work... My wife supports me"
They left me immediately... I am dangerous
We need to be dangerous and scaring assholes people!

The dramatic story of the Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor could only happen in Libya and it could only be done by a crazy officer from a lower rank such as Qaddafi of Libya
Let us Imagine the situation: dirty Libyan hospitals; suspicious unclean equipments; and blood...
Libyan children get sick with AIDS!
So who is the scapegoat? Some poor nurses from Eastern Europe and a doctor without a country!
Qaddafi, who is well known for his crimes (Lockerby and others), took the poor nurses and the doctor HOSTAGE and began a long process of alongside other rulers of the respected countries (!?) or they are like him: arseholes?

Monem’s Safety and Life is in Danger!

Urgent update from the Free Monem campaign site:
Egyptian blogger Monem, whose release was ordered on May 30 by general prosecutor after 46 days imprisonment in Southern Cairo Torah prison was deported from prison at 2pm yesterday May 31st. Mr. Islam Lotfy, Monem’s lawyer, contacted us now from Cairo saying Monem was able to have someone call him and pass a message of his whereabouts as he moved.
Mr. Lotfy said Monem arrived Beheira governorate at 9pm, then arrived Ministry of Interior Transfers Department in Alexandria city at 3am today June 1st.
While Monem was able to pass a third message to his lawyer confirming he is inside Alexandria Transfers Department, security officials denied he ever appeared at their premises and Monem’s lawyers were dismissed.
“It is illegal to keep Monem for more than 24 hours after his release. I am worried Monem is being subject to re-interrogation by State Security, or even torture and re-detention” Says Mr. Lotfy.
Monem’s ordeal has been going on for 48 days now since his arrest on 15 April 07. His arrest came after giving a public torture testimony during a human rights conference and also after posting his torture testimony on his bog. Among the preliminary charges for his arrest were “associating with Human Rights organisation in an effort to soil the image of the regime” and “discrediting the authorities by accusing them of routinely using torture in local police prisons”. The right (only) man for the job

I want to congratulate Bashir Assad for winning the Syrian elections.

It was a tough race, but the president certainly made a compelling case for continuing as president and he deserves to win over any of the other candidates; all of whom proved their lack of commitment and political conviction by not making themselves known at all.

Nevertheless, I believe a number of my Syrian friends voted for another well-known national hero - the endangered hamster, but these were ultimately lost votes.
